High river levels on Thursday may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible on 23 October 2025 from 01:00 as intense (but uncertain) rainfall is forecast 

Up to 25mm of rain could occur, but there is low confidence in location. If as much rain falls as predicted, minor flooding could affect Bridge Cottage on the B2028 and roads at Fletching Mill Bridge and Sharpsbridge. From 08:00 23/10/2025 minor flooding could affect the Anchor Inn and Barcombe Mills road. Slightly higher river levels than 20/10/2025. Rain is forecast to continue until Thursday afternoon. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in Ardingly by 15:00 23/10/2025 and by 22:00 on 23/10/2025 in Barcombe. 

We are closely monitoring the situation and operating structures at Pimms Lock and Barcombe to reduce flood risk. 

Don't put yourself or others at risk . Avoid roads that flood, including Barcombe Mills Road.
