River levels in Barcombe are now slowly falling, following Friday's rain. River levels upstream, between Ardingly and Sharpsbridge have already fallen significantly. Minor impact flooding affecting fields, particularly near Barcombe Mills, could continue through Sunday. Light rain is forecast for much of Sunday 07/12/2025. River levels are not expected to rise significantly and should remain lower than Saturday. It is possible river levels could continue to fall despite the light rain. Less rain is forecast Monday. River levels should return nearer to normal by Monday evening. However another band of rain in the early hours of Tuesday will likely increase flood risk again. We are closely monitoring the situation and operating structures at Pimms Lock and Barcombe to reduce flood risk.

Don't put yourself or others at risk. Avoid roads that flood, including Barcombe Mills Road. This message will be updated by 12:00 on 08/12/2025.
